Applied Behavior Analysis/Verbal Behavior

In addition to learning skills, it’s important to your child’s long-term success to be able to apply those skills in a variety of settings, both inside and outside the classroom. Our team of Behavior specialists is qualified to help and can do so at times that fit your needs and schedule. MORE

Assessments

In order to evaluate and track your child’s progress, The Shafer Center for Early Intervention offers comprehensive assessments in the following areas:

Behavior Consultation Services

Behavioral issues are common in children with autism, and our Behavior Consultants work closely with you as a parent, or your child’s school to develop, monitor and adapt your child’s Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP). MORE

Best Buds Summer Camp

Our Summer Day Camp is an integrated and comprehensive program that maximizes your child’s learning in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment. Best Buds Summer Camp is open to children ages 3-8 and is offered annually during the summer. MORE

Occupational Therapy

Conducted at The Shafer Center for Early Intervention, our occupational therapists use child-centered techniques and state-of-the-art therapy space to help your child progress to his/her next level. Our Occupational Therapy  team creates a controlled, sensory friendly environment where your child can succeed and enjoy our climbing walls, monkey bars and other fun activities. MORE

Speech-Language Therapy

Our speech-language pathologists will work with your child individually, at The Shafer Center for Early Intervention or in your home, to improve his/her communication skills. Our Speech-language pathologists know how to create a positive and fun learning environment and offers: Individual Speech-Language Therapy, Small-Group Language Therapy and Speech-Language Consultation.
